FROM: Walker, Steven

We have received your request. Because of the large amount of requests we have received, many of which are voluminous, there will be a significant delay in fulfilling your request. I am unable to give an estimate at this time. We fulfill all requests in the order in which they are received.

I can respond in part to some of your inquiries:

Your request: “Please provide all drafts (partial, preliminary or otherwise) of E.O. 118 in the possession of Dan Forest or Steven Walker. Please supply the drafts in their native digital format (e.g., Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, etc.). “

Response: We do not have any drafts of E.O. 118, except for the final document posted on governor.nc.gov

Your Request: “Please provide all e-mail communications to or from Dan Forest or Steven Walker to or from any member of the Council of State or any Council of State agency employees between March 17, 2020, at 12:00 am and March 17, 2020, at 7:00pm. Please include all e-mail addresses, including non-government issued accounts, if they were used for communications related to the person’s official capacity.”
Response: Because of the many questions we received, we posted the email chain of the Council of State that we have in a background link on the Lt. Gov’s statement on our website, found here: https://ltgov.nc.gov/news/2020/03/17%20/lt-governor-forest-questions-validity-restaurant-ban

We will, when this request comes up in the queue, do a thorough search to see if any other emails that meet your request criteria exist in our custody.

Your Request: “Please provide all e-mail communications to or from Dan Forest or Steven Walker to or from any e-mail address that does not have a .gov domain between March 17, 2020, at 12:00 am and March 17, 2020, at 7:00pm. Please include all e-mail addresses, including non-government issued accounts, if they were used for communications related to the person’s official capacity. “

Response: We will fulfill this portion of the request when the request comes up in the queue.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Steven Walker
